I am a mother of two, a wife, a daughter, granddaughter, sister, friend, mother in law,  and aunt. I am a homemaker striving to attain the status of a Proverbs 31 woman.  I homeschooled both of my children and enjoyed every moment of watching them learn and grow into adulthood.

I was diagnosed with Lyme disease about 10 years ago after dealing with over 30 years of health issues.  Seemingly healthy, the underlying symptoms of illness kept doctors perplexed in locating the cause. With that diagnosis, I have been on a journey of healing.   I am determined to fight with every ounce of energy I have to fight this disease and keep it in remission so that I can enjoy the next 30+ years living out what God has in store for me.

With the Lord’s mercy and grace,  I pray I can be a testimony for others who battle this crippling diagnosis, as well as the crippling diagnosis of a life without a savior.  My hope is that all who read my blog will witness the love I have for others through kindness, forgiveness, acceptance and peace so that they will want to have that same relationship with a savior who took on the penalty of sin.  That they too will enjoy living a life dedicated to serving in their faith as the Lord allows.  Nothing I do is without careful prayer and consideration of how it may lighten the way for others to glorify Jesus Christ.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you will continue to follow A Labour of Love.

  1. You have NO idea what a blessing this has been to me for our friendship to have been re-kindled like this. You are such a bright shining light and I am so thankful to our heavenly father to have brought us back together in such a beautiful way. You are a true inspiration and a pillar of strength – full of wisdom and overflowing with grace and love. Praising God for my sweet soul sister. :o) <>
