Who are you going to choose to be during this crisis?
I’ve learned a lot through my own experiences in life and here are a few things I take away from those school of hard Knox lessons:
1. The Lord is the only one who can give peace and guidance. True to the Word.
2. In times of uncertainty there are two camps….those who trust in the Lord for guidance while doing their part to be part of a solution and helping others, and those who trust themselves as they have been given an uncanny sense of truth beyond the experts or those on the front lines of a crisis, and they serve themselves without any concerns for the wellbeing of others. In my personal opinion, they are part of the problem not the solution.
3. There are people who have hearts willing to serve and help others while finding it difficult to serve themselves as they feel guilty for doing so, and on the flip side there are people willing to do more for themselves as they feel they are most important and entitled, without any guilt over how they lack in helping others.
4. Finding meekness and quietness in spirit during a crisis is difficult. Many times one can only pinpoint two schools of attitude, there are those fighting for themselves and those fighting for the good of others. Thought neither is quiet about their desires, some of the voices make more of an impact than others.
In the last two days I have seen on FB, people calling their friends “fear mongerers” because they posted someone’s testimony and experience about contracting the Covid-19 virus, I’ve watched others post about the injustice of our current leadership decisions and that it’s all conspiracy, and I’ve also seen many many more pitching in, making the most out a bad situation with ideas on how to help one another. Ironically enough, this post is due to the impact a few hurtful words or ignorance shown to others I have seen. Even thought I’ve seen more helpful individuals making an impact, the ones that have been out for themselves and puffing themselves up has made more of an impact on me. It saddens me to see others speak against one another just to self promote themselves through ideology.
I was woken up this morning by someone who felt I wasn’t taking the conspiracy theory to heart, and they sent me more info they just felt I needed to have because they don’t appreciate the fact that I am trusting God over all politics.
I am not spending my days in front of the news, I am not fearful of the virus (even though I am high risk due to my immunity issues, my lymphocytes already on overload with infection, and my damaged lungs from the pneumonia’s I have already acquired over the last 8 years, not to mention Lyme, co-infections, mold toxicity, MCAS, MTHFR, etc.), what I am however, very aware of is that our medical community needs to get a grasp on things before they can efficiently treat those who will need them. I am already a statistic having Lyme disease and I do not want to be another by succumbing to this virus while there are not enough ventilators, medicinal products or medical staff to help me. If the Lord chooses me to be one, then that is His will. I trust in His decision. I do not however trust in those who like to push their agendas on others because they fear human beings more than God.
I would like to strongly suggest, that if you are going to be a part of the problem and make people more miserable through this crisis, then please do so privately. Start a blog and allow others to follow you who want to hear you and commiserate with you. Do not wake people up with your agendas to try and spread fear of man.
If you want to be part of the solution, then please pick up the phone and call a neighbor or friend and see how you can be a blessing to them. Perhaps that one call was already a blessing. Post on FB stories of hope or fun things to lighten the load we are all experiencing.
Rant over. Thanks for reading.
